Evacuation Order issued

BC EMERGENCY ALERT issued by the Regional Districts of Okanagan-Similkameen and Central Okanagan, the District of Summerland, and Penticton Indian Band due to wildfire.

Evacuate immediately if you are in the following area: Summerland; Faulder; the Big Valley Rd area, the Brent Rd and Log Chute Rd area south of Peachland; from Darke Lake south to Bathville Rd, including Garnet Valley Rd and Princeton-Summerland Hwy to km 15.

The Bald Range Wildfire is creating a significant risk to life.

Evacuate to 273 Power St, Penticton, or Westbank Lions Community Hall, West Kelowna. Hwy 97 is closed from Antlers Beach to Pyramid Picnic Area. Except 201 FSR, do not use forest service roads even if maps direct you there.

If you are unable to evacuate call 9-1-1.
