Current situation

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary has RESCINDED the Evacuation Order for the Christina Lake area due to the Spaulding Creek wildfire. The threat to life and safety has passed.

BC EMERGENCY ALERT issued by Regional District of Kootenay-Boundary due to wildfire.

Evacuate immediately if you are in the following areas: all properties on Brown Rd, Kensington Place, and Caitlin Road.

The Spaulding Creek wildfire poses a threat to human life.

Effected residents are to head to Highway 3 using McRae Road. Head south to the Christina Lake Community Hall at 90 Park Road in Christina Lake, BC.

If you are unable to evacuate call 9-1-1.
