Evacuation Order RESCINDED for Northern Rockies Regional Municipality and Fort Nelson First Nation

Current situation
The Evacuation Order issued by the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality and the Fort Nelson First Nation for the areas encompassing Fort Nelson and Fort Nelson First Nation IR 2, Highway 77 to the east past Kotcho Lake and west past Highway 97, has been RESCINDED. This includes the 292 subdivision and all properties south to the North River Midstream gas plant.
An Evacuation Alert remains in effect for this area. Residents can return home but must be ready to leave on short notice.
