Evacuation Alert RESCINDED for Town of Fort Nelson and Fort Nelson First Nation (IR #2 and IR #5)

Current situation
The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality and the Fort Nelson First Nation have RESCINDED the Evacuation Alert for the Town of Fort Nelson, Fort Nelson First Nation (IR #2 and IR #5), and the areas encompassing Highway 77 North, Highway 97 South, and 292 Subdivision. The threat to life and safety has passed.
A Prohibit Entry Order (PDF) remains in effect for select properties from Mile 310 to Mile 307 on the Alaska Highway. Only registered property owners, their designates, or peoples authorized by the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality may enter and occupy the impacted areas. All other persons must not visit or occupy the area.
