An Evacuation Order and a BC Emergency Alert has been issued by the Peace River Regional District due to the Peavine Creek wildfire. Impacted residents should evacuate the area immediately.

BC EMERGENCY ALERT issued by the Peace River Regional District due to wildfire.
Leave the area immediately if you are in the following Evacuation Order areas: properties near Peavine Lake, Beaverlodge Lake and Cutbank Lake.
The Peavine Creek wildfire poses a threat to human life.
If you are in the Evacuation Order area, you must leave the area immediately via safest route. Visit www.prrd.bc.ca for more details about the Order area and ESS. If you are unable to evacuate call 9-1-1. The Kelly Lake community remains under an Evacuation Alert only.

If you are in the impacted area:
- Stop what you are doing and follow the directions provided
- Follow all instructions from local officials
- Travel by safest route to Dawson Creek.
- ESS Emergency Reception Centre: Evacuees should register at the Dawson Creek Ovintiv Events Centre: 300 Hwy 2 #1, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 0A4
- Do not call 9-1-1 for additional information. Only call 9-1-1 if you are unable to evacuate
